Catch Me if You Can by Jack Weinstock and Willie Gilbert is a mystery full of colorful characters, red herrings, and twists that keep the audience guessing until the very end. In 1965, on his honeymoon in the Catskills, Daniel Corban enlists the help of Inspector Levine to find his missing wife. What he finds, only causes him to ask yet more questions.
My design for this production focused primarily on setting the tone of a 1960s mystery, inspired by the soundtracks of quintessential detective shows like Columbo. A combination of found and original music, I wanted to create an atmosphere that followed the ebb and flow of tension, as secrets are revealed and lies are uncovered, while feeling like a classic whodunit.
